THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL

Well our blog is named after cup cakes, so why not begin our first post with this film which is beautiful and enjoyable as a nice cup cake with some soft cream on it.The grand Budapest hotel is a Wes Anderson directed movie that was released in 2014.I love almost all of his movies.They all are like, we are going on some adventure with our own little gang,  getting in to troubles ,trying different things to get out of them  ,oh .. a delight to watch.And not to mention the colour theme and the details on the surroundings  of course all of his movies are a visual treat  in that contest.
Our GBH is also in the front row speaking in terms of it, the baby pink  and purple back ground  make you want to live in the frames.So the story begins in a grand hotel in a fictional European  country called Zubrowka. The baby pink luxurious hotel is filled with elite guests who mostly come to seek the service of the head concierge of the hotel, Mr.Gustav.H. He is a strict concierge who controls  everything and anything that happens in the hotel.The service he provides to the customers some  of which are more than that of an ordinary concierge's duty make him the favourite of every one;).He doesn't have any relatives or family , his life is in and about the Grand Budapest.The twist in the story happens with Mr.Gustav appointing a lobby boy, young Mr.zero,  who is a reflection of Mr.Gustav himself as  Zero is an orphan ,hard working boy just like Gustav. From there begins the training of Zero and the formation of a deep friendship between the two.But  things get upside down when Gustav gets accused of a murder, then what follows is the adventure of the two aided by the beautiful Agatha , Zeros talented girlfriend who makes awesome sweets called The Mendles.
Ralph Fiennes acted as Mr.Gustav ,Tony Revolori as Zero and Saoirse Ronan as Agatha. Their awesome performance , story telling of Mr.Anderson and of course the visuals will compel you to watch it again and again,not to mention the Mendles sweets.So definitely  give it a go if you are in the mood of a little adventure;)
